The Asterisk

You may have asked yourself, why I add an asterisk after the words ‘woman/women’ or ‘man/men’.

The asterisk is borrowed from programming languages, where it is used as a placeholder able to refer to anything you would like it to. In my writings, I use it at the end of the binary gender-identities in order for you to append or change it to fit your own personal gender-identity category.
